Hi everyone in GPA or else!
It`s me "Kim" the new staff from GPA Bangkok, Thailand.
I`ve worked here for almost 3 months alreadyノtime past so fast! From the last issue I still be the new face for this newsletter. Even though itユs 3 months past, I still being the freshy for GPA Bangkok! He he he.
I met new people all the time while Iユm working because itユs my duty to contact everyone who involves with the shooting.
I think that it`s my great opportunity in working with GPA. However, itユs not the very big company like others, itユs the great 2nd family for me. Every staff here has been so nice and very kind to me since my first day here until now...Furthermore, being GPA staff is like double bonus for me: first is doing the job that I love and the second one is traveling around Thailand. Actually, Iユm Thai but rarely had a chance to travel around Thailand.
In Thai society, most of Thais hardly get a great chance to travel around the country because of many factors like money or even the time. So it means that I`m so lucky to work here than anyone due to the fact that I can travel together with working at the same time. Well, let me introduce you guys to the some Thai cultures right now.
Do and Don't while you are in Thailand!!!
Religion: Visitors should dress neatly in all religious shrines. They should never go topless, or in shorts, hot pants or other unsuitable attire。It is acceptable to wear shoes when walking around the compound of a Buddhist temple, but not inside the chapel where the principal Buddha image is kept. Each Buddha image, large or small, ruined or not, is regarded as a sacred object. Buddhist monks are forbidden to touch or be touched by a woman, or to accept anything from the hand of one. Social Norms: Thais don't normally shake hands when they greet one another, but instead press the palms together in a prayer-like gesture called a メWai.モ Generally a younger person wais an elder, who returns it. Thais regard the head as the highest part of the body, literally and figuratively. Therefore, avoid touching people on the head and try not to point your feet at people or an object. It is considered very rude. |
